Hi there! I'm PAT N. LEWIS and I live in the best city in the world (Pittsburgh, PA) and I have the best job in the world (freelance illustrator). I'd love to work with you!
What do I illustrate? All kinds of stuff, including children's books, magazines, t-shirts, greeting cards, character design and more. My clients include Highlights, High Five, Workman Publishing, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, Disney, Boys' Life, and the U.S. National Park Service.
A few books I've illustrated are MASSIVELY EPIC ENGINEERING DISASTERS by Sean Connolly (Workman); THE JOKE MACHINE and its sequel 101 HILARIOUS PRANKS AND PRACTICAL JOKES, both by Theresa Julian (Macmillan/Odd Dot); plus the graphic novel SCIENCE COMICS: WHALES (First Second).
Some of my favorite things in this world are: flea markets, libraries, Disneyland memorabilia, iced coffee, tiki bars, vintage toy packaging, monster movies and snack-bar nachos. Oh, and drawing funny pictures for kids and adults.
I'm proud to be a longtime member of SCBWI and a former president of the Pittsburgh Society of Illustrators.
Also I like kitties!
